Some girls love super fancy Jimmy Choo‘s and Louboutin heels. They salivate over the luscious leather and rich red soles of these sexy pumps. I appreciate the art of these shoes, and I think that they are lovely to look at. But as a tall girl with a knack for klutzy maneuvers, I can’t quite pull off these drool worthy styles. That doesn’t mean that I’m willing to sacrifice fashion or go the sneaker and sandal route. Enter my shoe obsession: boots.

There’s something about a solid pair of boots that makes me feel like I can take on the world. No need to tiptoe around, holding my breath in anticipation of my next tumble.
While many associate boots with the fall and winter seasons, there are actually a number of styles that can make the transition into the warmer months. For instance, I recently bought a pair of tan boots that come up just above my ankle. The lighter color gives them a more delicate look. For a night out, I can’t resist slipping into a pair of my sleek black boots. And I am not ashamed to admit that I love to pair a good cowgirl boot with a sundress (yes, I am officially a southern girl convert).
Warmer weather kicks
You probably won’t want to bust out your boots on a 95 degree day in the ATL, but on a nice summer night, they can give your look a little bit of edge.
For me, boots mean comfort. And comfort means confidence. And confidence means sexy. Don’t kick it til you try
